Ratings Review: DALLAS

The weeks and months leading up to the premiere of DALLAS, expectations were very high. Some were saying that it would do better, in the ratings, than TNT's top rated drama, THE CLOSER, and better than THE WALKING DEAD, the top cable series. It didn't quite live up to the hype.

The premiere was a very strong 6.9 million viewers, but within a month, it had dropped over 50% in total viewers and 33% in the 18-49 demographic. DALLAS is not the next coming of THE CLOSER for TNT, but it is a solid series for them. As long as the quality is there, DALLAS should continue to pull good numbers for TNT.
