To compare just how well NBC is doing with the 2012 London Olympics, below are the night by night ratings for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At the time, the 2008 Olympics was was a big ratings success, only matched by the US hosted summer games of '96 and '84.

Like this years Olympics, the first week is by far the stronger week of ratings. Once Swimming and Gymnastics are done, interest starts to fall.
