Complete Nielsen Ratings: Week of 08/06/12

The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #85:

This week in the ratings was much like watching the USA Women's Basketball team compete in the Olympics. The completely dominated and was never seriously challenged. But at the end of the tournament, there were still a silver and bronze medalists.

GOLD MEDAL: NBC
The last week of the olympics may have been down from the previous week, but they completely dominated everything else. The top eight spots were all NBC's coverage of the games. Not a single night was below 20 million. The London games were the most watched ever in decades.

SILVER MEDAL: CBS
CBS captured the next nine spots (9-17) and a total of 14 programs in the top 25. Their weekly average may have been about 22 million viewers less than NBC's, but it was still strong enough to take the medal stand next to NBC.

BRONZE MEDAL: ABC
ABC was the only other network to place programs within the top 25, the best being a repeat of AMERICA"S FUNNIEST VIDEOS.

  • #1 Reality - BIG BROTHER (Wed)
  • #1 Drama - NCIS [R]
  • #1 Comedy - THE BIG BANG THEORY [R]
  • Biggest lead in gain - THE CLEVELAND SHOW @7:30 (+75%) from AMERICAN DAD @7:00
  • Biggest lead in loss - THE GLASS HOUSE (-53%) from Bachelor Pad
