Ratings Review: THE PLAY BOY CLUB
If I remember correctly, in the summer of 2011, THE PLAYBOY CLUB was list as one of the more anticipated new series for network television. But, as usual, the buzz/hype was bigger than the actual anticipation of the series.
From the start, THE PLAYBOY CLUB was a rating bomb. Just five million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. NBC was hoping it would be their MAD MEN. They were right. MAD MEN's ratings are also pretty bad, but with a lot of hype. Just three episodes in, they were forced to pull the series and we will al forget about the series by 2013.
Of course, this was almost par for the course for NBC during the 2011-12 season. They only renewed most programs to fill their schedule for this coming fall.
Series officially pulled and cancelled on Tuesday, October 4, 2011
