The Watching Dead: The Worst of Friday & Saturday TV Ratings (June 22-23)
There is a whole lot of nothin' goin' on. That is what it feels like is happening with the networks this weekend. The BIG 4 are airing programs, but is anyone even watching them?I think this weekend was worse than last weekend.
FOX was the deadest network of the night it had a combined 4.5 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating for the two hours. HOUSE posted a resounding 1.99 million viewers, 2nd worst of the night. Third worst was the appropriately named BONES with just 2.49 million viewers.
Not to be out done, CBS' comedy duo RULES OF ENGAGEMENT and the series finale of HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN averaged less than 1.7 million viewers. The two sircomed ranked #1 and #2, respectively, as the deadest programs of the night.
The Dead of Friday Night:
Only three programs from the BIG four were able to crack the 1.0 demo rating mark, and ABC aired two of them. The worst, deadest, program of the night was COMMUNITY. It only suckered 1.8 million viewers to tune in and a CW-like 0.4 in the demo ratings. I would not be surprised if one Friday this summer that a CW program will out rate COMMUNITY. WHITNEY was not much better, ranking 4th worst of the night with 2.5 million viewers a 3rd worst demo rating of 0.5. If not for DATLINE being the #1 program of the evening, NBC would have a corpse.FOX was the deadest network of the night it had a combined 4.5 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating for the two hours. HOUSE posted a resounding 1.99 million viewers, 2nd worst of the night. Third worst was the appropriately named BONES with just 2.49 million viewers.
The Dead of Saturday Night:
I thought there was a reason ABC cancelled EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION... Oh yea, because it was dead in the ratings. But for some reason an repeat of the show made its way on the network Saturday night. It pulled in about 2.25 million viewers over two hours. Not to be out done, CBS' comedy duo RULES OF ENGAGEMENT and the series finale of HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN averaged less than 1.7 million viewers.
