LA Kings vs. NJ Devils

The 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Finals were televised by both NBC and the cable outlet, NBC SPORTS NETWORK.

The rating for this sport have never been in the same neighborhood as the other "Major" sports leagues, like MLB, NHL and the NBA.  in 2012 the NBC Netowrks did get a nice gift of having both the LA and NYC markets represented in the finals. However, The NJ Devils are the 3rd hockey team in the NYC market and the KINGS are far from being "LA's team."

• Game 2 (Sat, June 2): 2.90 million viewers, 1.1 demo rating (NBC)
• Game 3 (Mon, June 4): 1.74 million viewers, 0.6 demo rating (NBC Sports Net)
• Game 4 (Wed, June 6): 2.07 million viewers, 0.8 demo rating (NBC Sports Net)
• Game 5 (Sat, June 9): 3.30 million viewers, 1.1 demo rating (NBC)
• Game 6 (Mon, June 11): 4.93 million viewers, 2.0 demo rating (NBC)
