Ratings: Broadcast Finals for May 28, 2012

Not too much to really comment on about the Memorial Day numbers. AMERICA'S GOT TALENT did well, but the real story on this day was what was happening on cable TV.

HISTORY premiered part 1 of its mini-series HATFIELDS AND MCCOYS, staring Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton, Tom Berenger, and Powers Booth, scored 13.9 million viewers and a 3.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The mini-series should wind up as the #1 show of week, including cable and broadcast. Perhaps the networks should look at what is making HATFIELDS AND MCCOYS a success and how TV mini-series can return on network television.
