Previewing Fall 2012 Wednesday Nights.

Wednesdays this fall features six new series. NBC has the most with three, ABC with two, the CW has one, while CBS and FOX remained unchanged.

Wednesdays at 8:00pm:
NBC will feature two new comedies, ANIMAL PRACTICE and GUYS WITH KIDS. Off the bat you have to believe that both of these series will tank, since they are on NBC, but they could be the two funniest of the new, yet weak, comedy batch. The best either series can hope for is to compete with ABCs THE MIDDLE and SUBURGATORY for 3rd in the time slot.

The CW may just have its first general audience hit with ARROW. ARROW is based on the DC super hero, The Green Arrow. If it can click with male viewers along with the CWs preferred demo, we may have an opportunity for the CW to top NBC in the ratings.

The battle for #1 will be between SURVIVOR and X-FACTOR. X-FACTOR should be the top program in the hour, unless fatigue hits viewers with too many talent competition programs on the air.

Wednesdays at 9:00pm:
There is no reason to believe that MODERN FAMILY won't dominate its half hour, especially in the demo ratings. THE NEIGHBORS looks bad and will squander away it's lead in audience. THE NEIGHBORS will compete for that first eviction of the year. CRIMINAL MINDS will easily be #2 in the hour and X-FACTOR #3. LAW and ORDER: SVU will air an hour earlier next season, but its not any easier. Expect more erosion in the ratings with tougher competition and a 4th place finish, above SUPERNATURAL.

Wednesdays at 10:00pm:
The 13th season of CSI will have it up against two freshmen dramas. ABCs NASHVILLE will be alternative programming for the hour, while NBCs CHICAGO FIRE will try to pull away viewers from the veteran crime drama. If NASHVILLE can develop plot lines that viewers will enjoy, it could be the fall's sleeper hit series. Country Music fans are very loyal. CHICAGO FIRE looks slick, but NBC will still place third in the hour.

This is a competitive night. ABC, CBS and FOX will battle for the nightly win. As usual NBC will finish 4th an the CW last.
