ABC's top gun, HOME IMPROVEMENT, may have lost the title of being the #1 show in America, but ABC gained being called the #1 NETWORK in America.
ABC won the 1994-95 season with an 11.9 household rating, edging out NBC by 0.4 rating points. CBS was not too far behind with a respectable, but still 3rd place, rating of 10.8. FOX, still young and finding its footing, closes the gap between itself and 3rd place. The 7.5 rating it earned by the end of may was the highest the network had posted.
UPN and The WB finished their short season with UPN clearly dominating the WB in the ratings. UPN's 4.0 rating was more than double The WB's 1.9. Only STAR TREK VOYAGER was generating any type of decent ratings between the two freshmen networks.

When did USA Today start publishing these? With both HH ratings and number of viewers

ReplyDeleteI know they published them as early as March 1987. The paper started publishing in 1982.
