Podcast: The /FilmCast
There are literally hundreds of podcast on or about movies. But, I have found the most entertaining and informative to be THE /FILMCAST.
THE /FILMCAST is the official podcast of Slashfilm.com. In THE /FILMCAST, hardcore geeks/bloggers/journalists David Chen, Devindra Hardawar, and Adam Quigley debate, pontificate, and delve into the latest films, film news, television shows, and entertainment-related items from the past week. Weekly guests include everyday bloggers, webmaster luminaries, and movie stars from all walks of life.
You will never agree with all or any of the three regulars. They have very different tastes than the mainstream audiences. But, they know that and will critique around those differences. You will have a fun time listening to THE /FILMCAST while also learning a little more about the movies.
THE /FILMCAST has two episodes each week. The regular episode in which they cover the latest news, what they are watching and the one in depth movie review, usually a just released film. A couple of days later, the "After Dark" episode is released in which they discuss a specific topic, which usually comes up during the regular podcast. Each regular episode is roughly 90 minutes in length, but it veries each week. The After Dark episode is usually just 20-30 minutes.
You can listen live each week, usually late on Sundays, at the official web site, http://slashfilm.com/filmcast/. You can also subscribe via iTunes or straight from the RSS feed, located on the web site.
