Complete Nielsen Ratings: Week of 04/02/12
CBS continues to dominate in total viewers and closes the gap on FOX for the 18-49 demo ratings crown.CBS was the only network to average over 10 million viewers and won the 18-49 demographic ratings in large part to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship game. The game drew nearly 21 million viewers and a strong 7.6 demo rating, top in both categories.
DANCING WITH THE STARS and AMERICAN IDOL make up the rest of the top five spots, in total viewers. THE VOICE falls to 17th.
In the demo ratings game, THE VOICE fares better, placing 4th & 8th. DANCING WITH THE STARS peaks at 13th.
The last week of the failed 2 hour comedy block on FOX ended. NEW GIRL posted series lows this week. Just 4.6 million viewers and a .23 demo rating. Before being surrounded by ratings deficient series, NEW GIRL was pulling a demo rating in the 3's and 6-7 million viewers. Close to a 25% drop.
The CW can't even manage a 1 million viewer average for the week.. This may be an all time low for "in Season" ratings, excluding Christmas time, for the Green Network.
