In Development: WALLACE, The Bravehart Series

New York Magazine is reporting that American and Scottish TV production companies are developing a series based on the 1995 classic movie BRAVEHEART. The project is titled WALLACE and would focus on the adventures of William Wallace, the character that Mel Gibson played in the movie.

It is being described, stylistically, as similar to SPARTACUS and GAME OF THRONES, with plenty of action and nudity. So look for one of the Premium channels (HBO, SHOWTIME, STARZ) as a frontrunner to acquire the project, if and when it makes it to series.
