Complete Nielsen Ratings for Week of 02/27/2012
FOX dominates the top of the charts, with a little help from Mother Nature.
For the first time ever, the DAYTONA 500 was pushed back a full 36 hours, running on Monday night, in primetime. The telecast ranked 7th in total viewers and 6th in the 18-49 demo ratings.
Along with the 5 hours of the race, FOX also placed all three editions (6 hours) of AMERICAN IDOL in the top 5. The Thursday airing was the #1 program of the week, in both categories.
In season finale ratings, ROB! finish with a mediocre 9 million viewers and a 2.6 rating. The chance of renewal is 50/50.
Two series premieres happened this week and both arrived to lukewarm ratings. On Thursday, NBC's AWAKE (still half asleep) pulled in just 6.24 million viewers and a 2.0 demo rating. On Sunday, the much hyped GCB, on ABC, whimpered in with just 7.56 million viewers and a 2.2 demo rating. Both may be long shots to make the fall 2012 schedule.
