Complete Nielsen Ratings for Week of Jan. 9, 2012
On the strength of the NFL PLayoffs, CBS wins the second week of 2012. In fact, NFL programing took the top four spots in this weeks ratings, including the Sunday post-game show on FOX.The Top rated scripted series was NCIS (#5) with just over 21 million viewers. The top comedy of the week was THE BIG BANG THEORY (#8) with 16.1 million viewers and a 5.3 in the 18-49 demographic.
The Animation Domination block, on FOX, got a pump in the ratings. THE SIMPSONS drew an impressive 11.59 million viewers and a 5.4 demo rating (#6). With that lead in, NAPOLEON DYNAMITE was amply sampled with 8.7 million viewers, but the 9:30 special airing of episode two only drew 6.9 million viewers.
