With June came the 1991 NBA Finals (Bulls vs Lakers). The series ended in five games, but it still averaged around 25 million viewers, with game five approaching nearly 30 million viewers. At the time, it was the second highest rated finales ever. Only the 19988 Lakers vs Pistons series topped it.The only new programming to note was the 18th Daytime Emmy Awards, broadcast by CBS. The special ranked #2 for the week of June 24th, 1991, and produced a 13.5 ratings and 18.9 million viewers.
