CBS 2010 Fall Schedule

Who would have thought that CBS would be the most aggressive network at this years upfront.

CBS gives up on the Wednesday comedy block and moves it to 8pm Thursday, as THE BIG BANG THEORY will lead off the night with much talked bout new comedy, S#!& MY DAD SAYS. With that Move, SURVIVOR moves to the WEDNESDAY 8pm slot.

Two CSI's are on the move. MIAMI ends the week on Sundays at 10pm, wile NY takes on the Friday 9pm slot. I am surprised that the Mother ship stayed on Thursdays at 9pm.

All 5 of their new series are behind solid hits.

The Criminal Minds spin off will be a mid season series.

  1. I am glad to see at least ONE network get aggresive. For the most paret, I really like this schedule. Nice movement ov veteran shows to new slots to help build new series.

Only downside is leaving CSI at 9pm on Thursdays. Unless there something big coming for nect season, this is a waste. It has been way down in the ratings the last 16 months.

  2. Something big on CSI next season? Yeah, the Bieber.
I wouldn't call CSI: NY on a Friday a solid hit, nor Mike & Molly, so 3 new shows have hits as lead-ins, and all 5 seem to be weak.

For CBS to "rise in the ratings" next season, it would have to overcome the historical downward trend, the internet/DVR effect, entropy, and not having the Super Bowl. Plus, NBC won't be laying down and playing dead this Fall.

I don't think Big Bang will rise. It's not facing Chuck/Heroes or Lie to Me, the HUT is lower at 8, and laugh-tracked comedies are more suited to Mondays.
