Cable TV Ratings for Week Ending March 21, 2010
This was a week of Premieres for Cable TV and most of the series posted good ratings.
Justified, on FX, premiered to 4.15 million viewers and a solid 1.5 demo rating. Discovery's LIFE mini-series posted strong number for its first two episodes. The 8pm premiere drew 6.14 million viewers and a 2.2 demo rating, The 9pm edition had a slight drop to 5.88 million viewers and a 2.1 demo rating.
Southpark returned with a solid 3.74 million viewers and a 2.0 in the 18-49 demographic. AMC's Breaking Bad did draw just under 2 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, but with all the promotion & hype, shouldn't this Emmy award winning series draw more viewers?

What is it about AMC's series that gets all this talk and hype, but the ratings never back it up?
ReplyDeleteMad Men usually only averages about 2 million viewers, but from the hype, you would think it was 7-8 million.
With all of the Emmy's and promotion, you would think these shows would have much higher ratings. is AMC the modern version of "The Emperor Has No Clothes?"
How come Funny or Die presents isn't in the ratings for HBO?
