POLL: Does Heroes Deserve Another Season
The Season/Series finalle of HEROES
aired lastnight on NBC. It drew a pathetic 4.4 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demo. Die-hard fans are wanting a 5th season, but year after year, episode after episode, the erosion of viewers continues to grow. The seires is a shell of its former self. Just three years a go, in its only good season, it was drawing over 15 million viewers and more than a 5 rating in the demo. The one thing HEROES
has going for it is that it aires on NBC. They don't have much and little is better than nothing.Does this under achieving series deserve yet another season?

I think my blog post said it all. No one really watches this series anymore. It has not had a good story since the first season. It ended up being a waste of a terrific concept.
ReplyDeleteAt least we here that Chris Nolan (The Dark Knight) will help guide the new Superman 3.0 reboot.
I tried to stick with Heroes. I gave it plenty of chances to turn around, but it just became unwatchable this year. NBC should just let it go so the actors can find other work.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, it would be interesting to see just how low the ratings dwindle if they do return it for a season 5!
I'm gonna say NO. It's closer than some might think, since the 2.0 it's been getting still makes it probably the second strongest NBC drama, but I think you can't even assume it'll get that if it comes back. You have to assume it'll be even weaker, at which point they should definitely take their chances with a new drama.
