News & Rants: 7 Reasons Why NBC Sucks So Bad
The Internet and TV is a buzz with what is happening with NBC. It is a consistent mess. NBC makes bad choices after horrible mistakes. Here are my Top 10 Reasons as to why NBC Sucks So Bad.
7 - Heroes. Not only did Heroes get a 3rd season, but also a 4th season. This series tanked really bad after season #1 and the network is thinking about a 5th season, as we speak.
6 - Jimmy Fallon named Late Night Host. He was unfunny on SNL and failed in the movies. So obviously, NBC thinks he is perfect for 5 hours of programming each week.
5 - Parks & Recreation. This comedy is typical NBC, very unfunny. It continues to get horrible ratings, yet it will have a full season order and a good chance are a 3rd season renewal.
4 - 30 Rock. 30 Rock is just now getting ratings that would just barely pass on any other network. Its first two season were not only badly rated, but were horribly unfunny. But at least it gets Emmy awards. Too bad no one cares.
3 - The Bionic Woman. A great idea gone horrible wrong. It was a series that the viewers wanted, but once they saw it, they left as fast as they came. I wonder if they learned any lessons?
2 - Knight Rider. One of the worst Pilots I have ever seen. Another remake gone really bad. I guess the lessons were not learned from The Bionic Woman from the previous season.
1 - Jay Leno. Jay Leno continues to haunt NBC and they continue to reward him for it. From the screw up back in 1992 when he was selected over Letterman for the Tonight Show (CBS Says Thank You), to the bad decision of putting Jay in Primetime, to piling on that screw up by putting Jay back on at 11:30pm. NBC has no idea what it is doing or how to fix anything.
NBC has 3 programs that perform well. The Biggest Loser, Law & Order: SVU and The Office. Everything else is average, at best, and most do horrible.
Jeff Zucker needs to go and needs to go Now. Perhaps he can help The CW.
