Helmer Richard Shepard has signed on to handle the CRIMINAL MINDS spin off.
I thought this project was long dead, but NO... it is still alive. The pilot will come as an episode of CRIMINAL MINDS, much like NCIS: LA came from an episode of NCIS. The cast has not set, but the pilot will be shot sometime in February. As a fan of CRIMINAL MINDS, I am looking forward to this pilot. The Cast will be a huge factor though. If they screw up the casting, it will fail big time.

I love this announcement. Chuck Lore has a proven track record with TWO AND A HALF MEN and THE BIG BANG THEORY, so I fully expect this new comedy to be a hit next season. The big question will be... "Where on the CBS schedule will it go?" After MEN at 9:30 Mondays? Slotted at 8:30pm on Mondays? Perhaps paired with BBT on a new night? Does not matter. More great comedy is on its way!
