How I met Your mother had an original episode lead off this past Monday night. Without Big Bang Theory, some say the Episode Bombed by only drawing 7.3 million viewers and a 2.9 demo rating. Others point out that CBS didn't properly promote the special 8pm airing.

The Big Bang Theory is a bigger ratings grabber IMO. How I Met Your Mother wasnt able to get the viewership TBBT has now until last season.
