NBC dominated the final week of the year by taking 8 of the top 10 shows for the week. NBC had the top Sporting Event (AFC Wild Card Game #1), Top Comedy (Cosby Show #3), Top Reality show (Unsolved Mysteries #6) and the Top Drama (Matlock #11). NBC was a full two ratings points of second place ABC and over three points over CBS.
