US Box Office Results: April 19 - 21, 2019

The horror flick, THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA, was the #1 movie in America, scoring $26.5 million in its first three days of release. The movie has already tripled its $9 million production budget, plus has $30 million in international markets.

Last week's #1, SHAZAM!, dropped to second place, with another $17.3 million, bringing its 17-day total to a solid $121.3 million, and topping its $100 million production budget.

Christian movie, BREAKING THROUGH, was the #3 movie of the weekend, grossing $14.6 million in its first weekend. That places it in the top ten of releases, for Christina movies, behind 2016's MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN.
