Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 08/08/18

It was a competitive night in the Wednesday ratings as just two-tenths of a ratings point, in the A18-49 demographic, separated the BIG 4 networks. FOX was on top with a 1.0 average, while NBC and ABC posted 0.9 rating and CBS with a 0.8 rating. In total viewership, ABC lead the way with 4.7 million, whith NBC at 3.8 million, CBS at 3.7 million and fox at 3.3 million. The CW posted just a 0.1 demo rating and less than 700k in total viewers.

At 8 PM, all five networks had original program, with BIG BROTHER winning the hour with the night's best 5.6 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in the A18-49 demo. WORLD OF DANCE was next with 4.7 million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating, then MASTERCHEF in third, with a 1.0 demo rating and 3.7 million viewers. ABC's three hour CMS Fest special, posted a 0.9 demographic rating and drew 4.7 million viewers for the night. Summer series, BURDEN OF TRUTH collected a 0.1 demo rating and 800k in viewers, for fifth.

At 9 PM, 24 HOURS TO HEEL & BACK ranked behind the CMS FEST and WORLD OF DANCE, with three million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, topping encores from CBS (SEAL TEAM) and The CW (SUPERGIRL).

At 10 PM, a repeat of CRIMINAL MINDS topped the season final of REVERIE, for second lace, beating it in viewers, 2.8 million to 2.0 million, and in the A18-49 age group, 0.5 rating to 0.4 rating.
