Primetime Cable Ratings: January 8, 2018

The College Football Championship Game was the #1 program on Monday night, beating everything on cable and broadcast TV. The game, featuring Alabama vs Georgia, attracted 27.4 million viewers and an 8.7 rating in Adults 18-49. That is nearly double last year's game, which drew less than 14.5 million viewers, on ESPN. The game was also simulcast on ESPN, adding another one million viewers.

The second season premiere of HOMETOWN drew 1.4 million viewers, the highest ranking HGTV program on the night, which pushed all five of its primetime shows onto the chart.

The premiere episode of the Memphis edition STREET OUTLAWS failed to draw one million viewers, ranking 19th on the night.
