Final Broadcast Ratings: January 3, 2018

FOX tops the Wednesday night ratings, with the season premiere of a TV Classic, THE X-FILES, and the new drama, 9-1-1. THE X-FILES was #2 in the 8 PM hour, collecting 5.2 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49. That is the lowest rated episode of the revived series, since its original run, and is off by 11 million viewers and over 90% in the demo, from its 2016 season premiere. New drama, 9-1-1, grew out of THE X-FILES, adding 1.6 million viewers and 30% in the demo.

NBC was second on the night, with its regular line up back in originals. CHICAGO PD won the 10 PM hour.

ABC edged CBS for third place, with its comedies back in new episodes. A mid-season run of MATCH GAME was last in the 10 PM hour and the lowest rated show of the night, excluding The CW.

CBS was unusually last on the night. The Season premiere of THE AMAZING RACE won the 8 PM hour, but the two action dramas, SEAL TEAM and CRIMINAL MINDS ranked 4th and lst in their respective time slots.
