Final Broadcast Ratings: December 17, 2017

The FOX live production of A CHRISTMAS STORY did relatively well for the network, drawing 4.5 million viewers and a 1.6 average in the A18-49 demographic, but compared to GRESE LIVE, is is a disappointment. The January 2016 production drew 12.2 million viewers and a 4.3 rating in Adults 18-49.

ABC attempted to counter FOX with its annual airing of the classic movie, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, but the film drew just 4.6 million viewers and was last in all three demographic categories.

NBC won the night with Sunday Night Football collecting 19.2 million viewers and a 5.9 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up from last week's Steelers vs Ravens game.

CBS got a boost from its NFL Overrun game, which commanded 26.9 million viewers and a 7.5 demo rating, for the first 30 minutes of primetime.
