Final Broadcast Ratings: November 29, 2016
NBC sweeps the night again, with a strong performance by THIS IS US, with 10.5 million viewers and the night's best A18-49 score, a 2.7 rating. The freshman drama grew the A18-49 demo by 42% from its THE VOICE lead in. But that also means the CHICAGO FIRE lost 48% of its demo lead in, at 10 PM.
The CW had another strong night, with the second of four crossover episodes involving the DC superheroes. THE FLASH scored 4.2 million viewers, a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-34 and a 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49. All, by far, are season highs for the series and THE FLASH was #1 in the 8 PM hour, in the A18-34 demo. THE FLASH was also #3 in the A18-49 demo, in its time slot, beating ABC and FOX. Head-to-head, The CW bested FOX, across the board, despite NO TOMORROW dropping 70%, or more, of its lead in viewers and demos.
CBS, the #2 network on the night, hired two hours of Crime drama encores, from 9 to 11 PM, plus the Christmas Classic, RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER at 8 PM. RUDOLPH won its 8 PM time slot, besting THE VOICE in all three demographics. Year-to-year, RUDOLPH was even in the demos, and up in total viewership.
ABC was all new on the night, but still wound up third. AGENTS OF SHIELD was the second least watched and second lowest rated program of the night, from the Big 4 networks and was trounced by THE FLASH, among the Superhero shows.
FOX was a non-factor, finishing fifth. SCREAM QUEENS only managed to do better than The CW's NO TOMORROW, but not by much.
