Final Broadcast Ratings: November 2, 2016

The game lived up to the hype, as game 7 of the 2016 World Series dominated, crushed it, in the ratings. Over 40 million people watch the finale baseball game of the 2016 season and saw the Chicago Cubs end a 108 year title drought. If you missed this instant classic ball game, then you probably are well rested, as the game went 10-innings, had a short rain delay and ended near 1:00 AM, eastern time. This is the most watched World Series game since 1991, when the Braves/Twins drew over 40 million  for game six and 51 million for game seven.

ABC was a very distant second place, as the CMA Awards drew a relatively decent audience, including a 2.9 rating in Adults 18-49 and a total of 12.5 million viewers. Last year, with an epic World Series to compete against, the CMAs drew 13.6 million viewers and a 3.8 demo rating.

NBC was all encore on the night, so that left CBS in third, with two hours of original programming. Both SURVIVOR and CODE BLACK drew lower numbers than normal.
