With games six and seven of the World Series, FOX not only easily wins the week in the ratings, it is now the #1 network in the A18-49 ratings for the season. Game Seven was the #1 show of the week, drawing over 40 million viewers and a commanding 12.6 rating in Adults 18-49. The game went into extra innings, keeping viewers glued to their TV sets until past midnight. It was the most watched World Series game in 25 years. On November 2nd. Game six, played on tuesday Night, drew 23.4 million viewers and a 6.6 drmo rating. FOX now lead NBC in the A18-49 demo average, by one-tenth of a ratings point.
NBC and CBS fought for the #2 spot of the week, despite NBC having a decent showing from SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. CBS placed 17 shows in the top 30, while NBC had eight in the top third of the chart. NBC had more sub-par programs (7), 60th or worse, While CBS had zero shows ranked lower than 49th.
ABC was well of the pace, ranking fourth for the week and for the season to-date. Only three ABC ptograms made the top 30, including the 50th CMA Awards, which had to go head-to-head with game 7 of the World Series.
