Primetime Cable Ratings: August 5, 2016

The opening ceremonies of the Rio Olympics put a damper on the cable ratings, as just 17 programs draw one million viewers or more, on the night. FOX News takes the top three spots, including the only program above two million viewers, THE O'REILLY FACTOR.

Lifetime produces the night's only two original cable entertainment programs, with THE RAP GAME and BRING IT! averaging 1.1 million viewers, from 9 to 11 PM.
