US Box Office Results: June 10 - 12, 2016

The new releases for this weekend, dominate the top of the weekend movie chart, with THE CONJURING 2 hauling in the most with over $40 million. The horror flick collected its entire production budget in this first weekend and is the fourth best opening weekend by a horrors movie. THE CONJURING 2 was also only $1.5 million off from the original movie's opening, giving the franchise two of the four best starts, in the genre.

The Big budget movie, WARCRAFT, could only accumulate $24.4 million in its first three days, quickly earning a BUST tag for the $160 million movie. However, the movie is a hit internationally, collecting just under $262 million, outside of North America.

NOW YOU SEE ME  2, sequel to the 2013 movie, came in third with $23 million and is about $6 million behind the first NYSM movie.

CAPTAIN AMERICA and THE JUNGLE BOOK may be in their last week of being top 10 movies, with rankings of 9th & 10th respectively, this week. CAPTAIN AMERICA: CW had a current domestic theatrical gross of just under $400 million, while THE JUNGLE BOOK is at $353 million.
