Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 06/28/2016

The US Olympic Trials for swimming continues on NBC, winning the 8 PM hour. The event drew a solid 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-34. Both marks ranked second overall for the night. Starting an hour later than normal, AMERICA'S GOT TALENT did fall in the ratings, losing 700,000 total viewers, but rose a tenth of a point in the A18-49 demographic.

CBS and ABC fought for bragging right on second place. CBS collected more viewers and a better 25-54 demo rating, while ABC eged out CBS in the younger A18-34 and A18-49 demos. For CBS, the season premiere of ZOO did "OK" ratings, with 5.1 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. Better than either BRAIN DEAD or AMERICAN GOTHIC. But ZOO still finished third, behind ABC's TO TELL THE TRUTH, in all three demographic categories.

FOX still stinks on the night. COUPLED continues to be a viewer repellent, drawing just 1.5 million viewers at 9 PM. HOTELL HELL was third in it 8 PM timeslot.
