Final Broadcast Ratings: May 31, 2016

NBC dominates the Tuesday night ratings, with its back-to-back season premieres of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT and the new variety series, MAYA & MARTY. AGT collected 11.7 million viewers and a solid 2.6 rating in Adults 18-49. That equals last year's demo number and increases total viewership by more than a half a million. But, the A18-34 demo is down by 15%.  The series premiere of MAYA & MARTY had a solid start, with 6.3 million viewers and a 1.5 A18-49 demo rating. It is a little below the mid-September debut of BEST TIME EVER w/ NEIL PATRICK HARRIS, last season.

With encores from 8 to 10 PM, CBS took second place on the night. A new PERSON OF INTEREST did hold its encore lead in, but was a distant second place in the hour.

Two hours of 500 QUESTIONS didn't do much for ABC. Neither hour came close to drawing substantial number of viewers.

FOX was all-new, but the results are the same, a fourth place finish.
