Ratings Review: THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER (Season One)

THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER is another promising cable drama series that brought in viewers, initially, but by the end of the season, lost more than half its audience. FX did the right thing at cutting their losses now, instead of throwing money at trying to revive a series with low ratings.

In the Live+SD ratings, THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER averaged 1.13 million viewers, a 0.3 rating in Adults 18-34, a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49, and a 0.5 rating in Adults 25-54. Towards the end of the 10 episode season, the DVR ratings only added about 800k in viewership and 0.3 points in the A18-49 demographic.

From the premiere episode to the finale, the series lost 60% of its total audience and 63% of its A18-49 audience. What looked like a cable hit TV series, in September, became a series flop in November.
