Final Broadcast Ratings: December 9, 2015

CBS edges out ABC for the Wednesday night sweep. SURVIVOR posted its best demographic ratings since the second week of the season, averaging a 2.3 in the A18-49 demo and a 3.4 in the A25-54 demo. CRIMINAL MINDS held most total audience at 9 p.m., but dropping just 9% of the lead in. CODE BLACK continues to show signs of life, holding onto 90% of its lead in audience.

ABC's comedies fared well, with three of the four sitcoms posting A18-49 demos at or above a 2.0 rating. THE MIDDLE is again challenging MODERN FAMILY as the most watched ABC comedy, with only 140k less total viewers. NASHVILLE continues to struggle, dropping a notch from last week's ratings.

FOX found a little life with an encore of EMPIRE to kick-off the night and a new EMPIRE holiday special, TARAJI & TERRENCE'S WHITE HOT HOLIDAYS. The special grew about 50% of the audience, out of the encore episode.

 NBC was Magical on Wednesday night, but the ratings were not. With an encore presentation of the MATT FRANCO special and the new special, THE ILLUSIONISTS, NBC was 4th place, across the board, barely ahead of The CW.
