Final Broadcast Ratings: September 20, 2015

The last day of the 2015 Summer TV season featured the 2015 EMMY AWARDS vs the NFL, and the NFL won. The SNF game drew 26.4 million viewers and an 8.5 rating in the A18-49 demographic. That is down a few hundred thousand viewers from last week's game, plus 0.4 points in the A18-49 demo.

The annual pat on the back for the Hollywood TV types collected just 11.9 million viewers and a 3.6 demo rating. That is down 3.8 million in total viewers and about 15% in the A18-49 demographic ratings. Remember that the 2014 awards show aired on Monday, August 25, to accommodate NBC's NFL schedule.

Broadcast TV did terrible in the Emmy's winning just seven statues on the night, four of which were not from scripted series. Take out the broadcast networks wins, and the average viewer audience for the winning shows are under two million. And, GAME OF THRONES skews that number higher than what it may really be.
