Ratings Review: THE ISLAND WITH BEAR GRYLLS (Season One)

For the third summer in a row, we got a new Bear Grylls reality series. this time, he has a SURVIVOR slant to his survival skills, having 12 men attempt to survive on an island, with minimal tools and no modern conveniences. This is the American version of a British series, that started in 2014.

The six episode series averaged just 3.45 million viewers, a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-34, a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 1.3 rating in Adults 25-54, in the Live+SD ratings.

In the Live+3 ratings, the viewership rose 510,000 and the A18-49 rating grew just one tenth of a ratings point. By the Live+7 ratings, the total viewership averaged around 4.2 million and the A18-49 rating was a 1.3.

The seres, in the UK, will have a third season, in 2016, but no word on if NBC is going forward for a second season.
