Ratings Review: THE FLASH (Season One)

The CW may have found its new niche audience to program for, young adults males, as THE FLASH has become the flagship series of the network. It was the only CW series to come close to scoring a weekly top 30 spot, on the A18-49 chart and regularly topped ABC's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. in the ratings.

THE FLASH averaged 3.16 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49, in the Live+SD ratings. That covers 29 airings, including nine encores, in its time slot. Without the encores, the averages are 3.88 million viewers and a 1.5 demo rating.

In the Live+7 ratings, THE FLASH averaged 6.06 million viewers (+92%) and an A18-49 rating of a 2.4 score (+118%). It is easily the strongest CW program, currently, and may be the best among the superhero TV shows.
