Ratings Review: BLUE BLOODS (Season Five)

BLUE BLOODS continues to be one of the most watched dramas, on TV today, drawing eleven million viewers each week, despite airing on Friday nights. It may have mostly older viewers, but it still draws the same number of younger viewers as shows like NEW GI(RL,  HELL'S KITCHEN and GRIMM.

In the live+SD averages, BLUE BLOODS hauls in 10.32 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 28 airings, which includes seven encores. Without the encores, viewership is about 11.3 million and the demo reaches a 1.3 rating.

In the Live+7 ratings, total viewership increases by four million viewers, to 15.1 million (+34%), and the A18-49 ratings jump over 60% to a 2.1 rating, from that 1.3 rating, for new episodes. As on demand viewing and "subscriber numbers" be come more important, and advertising less, shows like BLUE BLOODS will prosper.
