Ratings Review: THE MCCARTHYS (Season One)

From the early promos, this series look liked a bad sitcom. the only shining point was Laurie Metclaf (ROSEANNE), as the mother. it would have/ could have been the first cancellation of the season had it A) not premiered the night before Halloween, and B) followed behind TWO AND A HALF MEN.

The series ranked 65th in viewership, for the season, and 69th in the A18-49 demographic. It did that good because of following MEN. Air this 8:30, on Monday nights, and it gets half the numbers it did.

For the season, THE MCCARTHYS averaged 6.34 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49. Lets see if CBS can do better in 2015-16, with its new comedies, than it did with THE MCCARTHYS.

Burn-off of the remaining original episodes began on July 4th, with a 9pm episode grabbing 1.86 million viewers and a 0.3 demo, and a 9:30 episode drawing 1.82 million and a 0.4 demo rating.
