Ratings Review: 12 MONKEYS (Season One)

Sometimes resurrecting a two decade old franchise, into a new series, works (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, HAWAII FIVE-O, SMALLVILLE), and sometimes id doesn't. 12 MONKEYS started with decent ratings,, but as the season progressed, viewership dropped.

Between the series premiere and the season final, half of the audience left the series. Even the A18-49 ratings were cut in half, if not more. This is not a good sign for 2015-16 series like UNCLE BUCK and MINORITY REPORT, when the debut this fall.

For the season, 12 MONKEYS averaged 790,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49. Season two is slated to return in early 2016. If this ratings trend continues, 12 MONKEYS will be next year's HELIX, for SyFy.
