Ratings Review: MAN SEEKING WOMAN (Season One)
MAN SEEKING WOMAN is another example of just how hard it has been for cable networks to develop a successful original sitcom. Low ratings are typical for cable comedies, but MAN SEEKING WOMAN may be one of the lowest rated, this year.
It is not everyday you see a national program struggle to get 100,000 viewers to watch and episode, but MAN SEEKING WOMAN had that happen twice. Four of the ten episodes failed to reach 200,000 viewers and only one episode, the series premiere, reached over 300,000.
It is amazing to see a series that averages around 200,000 viewer, and an ultra low A18-49 rating, get a second season order. There must be something an FXX executive sees in the show, that viewers are not seeing. My prediction is that the ratings will go even lower, in 2016.
