Ratings Review: HART OF DIXIE (Season Four)

After three season, the CW did show a little class and gave HART OF DIXIE a 10 episode fourth, and final, season to allow producers to close out the stories. It responded by producing some of the better numbers the CW has had on a Friday night, by a scripted drama.

All winter, fans were looking for a way for the series to find life after this season. With relatively good numbers on Friday nights, HART OF DIXIE constantly beat second year drama, REIGN, despite the younger series having a better night, with a stronger lead in. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late as the announcement of the series end was released a couple weeks before the finale.

For the season, HART OF DIXIE averaged 1.10 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, on 12 airings, including two encores. The Live+7 demo ratings jumped 75 to 100 percent, from the Live+SD numbers.
