Ratings Review: THE 100 (Season Two)

THE 100 did not do very much to build upon its strong launch, last spring. The ratings were flat, to begin with and had a slow decline over the season.

THE 100 looked to be one of the next stronger series for The CW. It is not a terrible ratings performer, like REIGN or BEAUTY & THE BEAST, but it did not keep viewers on The CW, as a lead out to ARROW. It only averaged 1.54 million viewers per episode and a 0.5 demo rating, in Live+SD ratings. Better than about half of the CW line up. But, is just at, or below the CW's season average.

The Live+7 ratings does indicate about a 60 percent jump, in the demo, or roughly another three to four tenths of a point increase. Not a great increase, but not horrible, for The CW, either.

THE 100 should be back for a third season, in some sort of fashion. It may be a great candidate for a Friday night run, as sci-fi type of series do a little better, on that night, than other genres.
