Ratings Review: PARKS AND RECREATION (Season Seven)

The mediocre end of PARKS & RECREATION was exactly that. The ratings for the series finale ranked 58th, out of 90 show, for the week in total viewers. It was the only episode of the season to draw over four million viewers. But, it is has a cult following and those fans will love it forever.

The only half-way decent ratings PARKS & REC pulled in this season were the first and last hours. They were the only times the series pulled at least a 1.5 demo rating. One fourth of the episodes failed to reach three million viewers.

For the season, PARKS & REC averaged 3.16 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49, in the Live+SD ratings. The Live+3 ratings averaged 3.94 million viewers and a 1.7 demo rating.

The Live+7 numbers for the regular 8 p.m. edition of “Parks” increased this season averaged a 1.9 rating, while the total viewership rose to 4.4 million viewers.

The series did well in Upscale. PARKS & REC delivered a strong concentration of upscale viewers, indexing at a 147 for adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes with its 8 p.m. edition and 151 at 8:30 (100 represents an average concentration of those homes).
