Ratings Review: MASTERCHEF JUNIOR (Season Two - Fall 2014)
Just think of how bad FOX would be, this fall, if it didn't have Gordon Ramsey to fall back on to fill the voids left by terrible new shows. The CW could be in the position to be the #4 English speaking network. MASTERCHEF JUNIOR not only improved the time slot, it bumped up the whole night.
The seven episode season was originally set for friday nights, but with the utter failure of UTOPIA, FOX had to have something to replace it on Tuesday nights. MASTERCHEF JUNIOR not only improved the numbers by more than 100%, in the 8 p.m. time period, NEW GRL and THE MINDY ROJECT saw the numbers go up, with the better lead ins.
The averages were near five million viewers and a 1.6 demo rating, double that what UTOPIA averaged on the night. Season three will premiere right after the new year, on January 6th, 2015.
