Primetime Cable Ratings: October 19, 2014

As expected, THE WALKING DEAD did fall a bit from its season five premiere ratings. The 15.1 million viewers and 7.7 score in the A18-49 ratings represents a lost of 2.2 million viewers and an 11% drop in the demo. Those "lost viewers" will show up in either the Live+3 or Live+7 ratings.

TALKING DEAD followed THE WALKING DEAD's trend, dropping from the previous week, but it is doubtful that its loses will be made up with time-shifted viewing. However, the recap discusion program did do better than any other show of the night, except for THE WALKING DEAD, SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and ONCE UPON A TIME, in the A18-49 ratings.

HBO's BOARDWALK EMPIRE placed 6th on the night, getting just under two million viewers.
