Ratings Review: DEFIANCE (Season Two)

Second year series DEFIANCE had a successful first season, in 2013. But, season two saw a significant drop in the ratings that could endanger the long term success of the sci-fi series.

In season one, about half the episodes drew two million, or more, viewers, with the remaining episodes not far below two million viewers. In season two, only the season premiere could get a hair over two million, with the rest of the episodes drawing around the 1.5 million viewer range.

For the season, DEFIANCE averaged 1.56 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. SyFy has yet to make a decision on a third season of the series.
