Ratings Review: BATES MOTEL (Season Two)
Since the original Alfred Hitchcock classic movie PSYCHO, released in 1960, there have been many other projects that were either remakes, sequels, prequels that have attempted to capture the suspense the original had. Almost all of those other projects failed to live up to the orignal, until A&E's BATES MOTEL.
The series is a contemporary retelling of a young Norman Bates and his domineering mother. It seems to have captured something that fans love and will watch in a weekly series. The young series is currenlty the #2 scripted series on A&E, behind LONGMIRE.
For the season, BATES MOTEL averaged 2.3 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. The network already renewed the series for another 10 episodes, schedule to run in early 2015.
